I started working full time with DSNY in August last year!
Still a partner at Cyclehawk and riding my bike daily, although I’m fading into the bike messenger sunset after 30 years in the biz 😸
It’s very physical, using my arms a lot more than my legs. Going from riding a 30 pound bicycle to driving a 30 ton truck is a trip!
I’m a night signee, so usually working Midnight to 8am or 4pm to Midnight.
Still get to be a part of the city and interact with other crazy NY’ers haha.
With 7K+ Sanitation Workers in the city, I’m part of a rowdy subculture once again 🤣

Race 4:15 p.m.
$10.00 to race.
Fixed Gear/ Single Speed ONLY!!
15 minute penalty for ANY racer in a full kit.
BBQ at the finish for all racers and checkpoint workers.
MUST HAVE A LOCK TO RACE.
Checkpoint volunteers needed.
