Messengers and City Bikers compete for glory and Prizes at Hellyer Velodrome! Top Messenger male and female win Round trip airfare to the Cycle Messenger World Championships One-day race on Saturday at Hellyer Velodrome in San Jose. Prizes from Chrome Bags, New Belgium Brewing, Swobo, Velocity Rims, Sugino, Kryptonite, and many more! May 9th Pre party at Chrome 1086 Folsom St. 7pm to 11pm Beer from New Belgium May 10th Track opens at 10:30 for warm up 11:00 Registration 12:00 Racing Starts! We have the track until sundown, but we will be done well before then. The track is easily accesable via Cal Trans, and the ride from the train to the track is not bad at all. Talk with folks on Friday night to try to organize a ride, or group ride from the train to the track. This is always a fun time and I look forward to seeing many of you there. Make sure that you tape and plug your drop bars, per the track regulations and wear spandex if you have it, don�t worry we all look silly in it! There are barbecue pits just outside of the Velodrome if you want to grill. Definitely bring water and a few snacks. There will be a 5 dollar suggested donation on Friday night and a Mandatory 5 dollar fee for insurance on Saturday. See you this weekend!!
